        <summary>Pictures from Science on Stage festival 2013
From 25-28 April 2013, the Science on Stage festival was held in Slubice - Frankfurt (Oder). The main focus of the event is to offer science and mathematics teachers a platform from which they will exchange teaching projects and network together. At Science on Stage festival 2013, 350 science teachers from 25 European countries and Canada came together to share their best-practice ideas. All teachers have been selected via national events. The Science on Stage festival gives them the opportunity to present their best-practice ideas for science education and inspire colleagues through workshops, technical lectures and on stage presentations. In this way, good-practice-examples will be spread all over Europe. Follow-up activities are organised throughout Europe by the National Committees of Science on Stage in order to encourage and inspire teachers who have not been able to attend the festival itself. On our facebook-page and on Picasa, you will find pictures of the Science on Stage festival 2013. Copyright (c) Science on Stage.

        <summary>Article in Science in School, Issue 24, about Maria Dobkowska, a Polish Science on Stage teacher
Making physics flourish in Poland: Maria Dobkowska
Submitted by minh on 21 August 2012
By Katy Hewis
Physics teacher Maria Dobkowska describes the challenges of remaining creative within a strictly defined national curriculum and of working with children with disabilities.
When the first two eminent speakers at a national conference for physics teachers in Poland pause in their opening comments to thank you for inspiring them to study physics, you must be doing something right.
There can be no doubt that the recipient of that recognition, Maria Dobkowska, followed the right career path: her happy 39 years of teaching experience in Poland prove it. &quot;I've always been a social person. I liked working with people,&quot; she explains, &quot;and I knew that working in a scientific laboratory wouldn't interest me. After my time as a trainee teacher, I knew for sure that it was the job for me.&quot;
